We are an independent California charter school authorized by a district to operate. We teach the common core standards through a student centered approach to education using the instructional methodology of project-based learning. The aim is two-fold in that we teach the common core while providing opportunities for students to engage in 21st century skills that allow for communication, critical thinking, collaboration and creation. Teachers also work to integrate the arts into the instructional day. Our curriculum is 100% aligned with the common core standards.
We also provide specialty classes in visual art, music, technology and engineering.
Specialized resources include:
A technology lab
Science lab with engineering and robotics
Individualized learning paths
Both Ballington Academy California charter school locations offer a variety of resources students can use to advance their education and supplement what they learn in the classroom. These resources are free and available to all students. We provide continuous support to students so they can stay on track and engage in common-core mathematics and English language arts.
Whether your child needs tutoring help or access to free books, we can provide them with a resource that will help them continue to learn and succeed.
